Assignment 3:

This assignment will consist of an introduction, a conclusion and four chapters in between.   It is estimated that the introduction and conclusion will consist of 1000 words, 600 of which could be in the introduction and 400 of which could be in the conclusion, or vice versa, depending on how the essay develops.

 

The four intervening chapters could consist of 1000 words each, on average.  The chapter headings will, in all likelihood, be the same as those outlined in assignment 2 as my reading so far has not indicated that they should change radically:

 

•    To what extent can poststructuralist philosophy reflect how we make or read 

               images linked to prisons?

•    What influences us in how we see prisons and prisoners?

•    Can history shed any light on the state of prisons in 21st Century Great Britain?

•    How have photographers working on prisons and /or prisoners presented their findings?
